I don't own them, but trying them side by side in a store I realized the screen in the Pro is just too much better. The colors and resolution are one thing, but it also has a faster screen; it ghosts much less.

I checked out the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 & Laptop 2 at Best Buy. The laptop has one of the most comfortable keyboards I've ever typed on. I love it, but it wears out easily & can't be easily replaced. I also wish it folded back 180°.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 has such versatility. The keyboard is still nice to type on, if & only if it's the upgraded Alcantara type cover. It's also great that you can replace it without it impacting the whole device. I also like that it has the microSD card option. I agree for those who will use the pen should get the MSP6.

Can you actually fold the surface laptop 180 degree with the keyboard ? I mean make the screen flat with the table, so that I can draw on it. I really appreciate for your help!

I bought both devices one pro 6 for my girl and one laptop for me. both really great.
But versatility of pro is really amazing. It is great for students and who travel a lot. And I like about microsd it can upgrade upto 1Tb or 512 gb whatever I like. But now 128bg is inserted. another benefit is I can change keyboard if any damage happen.
For me, laptop advantage is screen size and keyboard attached.
Overall I like both, but prefer pro6.

If USB type C is supported in next gen, I recommend these surface products over macbooks.

You say the SL2 and SP6 have the same specs (therefore the SP6 is overpriced), then show that the SP6 has a much better screen.

Surface Laptop 2 comes with W10 Pro; Surface Pro 6 comes with W10 Home–$99 US difference.

I thought that the main difference between the two was that the Surface Book 2 has dedicated graphics
